1.The difference between reporting and blocking
2.When to report
- Asking for money, gifts, or bank or mobile banking details
- Indecent, threatening or insulting messages, or repeated unwanted contact (harassment)
- Fake photos, someone else's photos, indecent photos, a false age, or hiding an existing marriage
- Attempted scams or fraud, or any suspicious behaviour
- Posing as ShadiMaker staff or a matchmaker and asking for a fee
- Commercial promotion or spam
- A profile of someone under age
3.How to report
You'll find “Report” at the bottom of the profile; from the menu at the top of a chat you can go to that person's profile. If you can't find the profile, use the “Report a member” button on the support ticket page and enter their profile ID (e.g. SG-10021).
Choose the closest reason, and add details if needed.
Briefly write what happened and when. If needed, the safety team will look at the relevant messages.
You can block at the same time if you like. You'll be notified about the report's status.
4.What happens after a report
Our safety team usually reviews a report within 24 hours. If needed, the flagged part of the conversation is looked at — not the whole conversation.
5.What happens when you block
- They can no longer see your profile or send you interest or messages
- You won't see their profile in search either
- Earlier messages are hidden on your side
- No notification is sent to them
