Love-arranged marriages are one in which the couple first falls in love and then
the family goes ahead and arranges the marriage. Where as, arranged – love marriages
are ones in which, the marriage is first arranged and then the couple falls in love
during the courtship period. Apart from this, there is the inter caste marriage
and court marriage. Both these are fairly new Types of Indian Marriages.
Inter Caste marriage refers to getting married to a person who does not belong to
the same caste as yours. These may be classified under love marriages. Court marriages
are not very elaborate and usually involve a short procedure where the bride and
the groom just sign papers according to procedures aid down by the law of the land.

In India, love, inter caste ad court marriages are fairly new. Earlier arranged
marriages were the only types of Indian marriages prevalent. However, with
